On the eve of hitting 100 citations (I’d like to thank the Academy!), please check out our most recent paper on automated vehicle (AV) adoption. We use clustering algorithms to determine market segments of AV consumers. We then determine the factors that trigger (non) adoption among these clusters.
- Millennials have a higher likelihood of belonging to the well-informed market segment
- Gen X-ers have a lower probability of belonging to the uncertain market segment
- Boomers have a higher probability of belonging to the concerns-dominated market segment
